Marc Márquez, born on 17 February 1993 in Cervera, Spain, is widely regarded as one of the most influential motorcycle racers of the modern era.

 

Márquez demonstrated exceptional racing talent from an early age. In 2010, he claimed the 125cc World Championship title, followed by the Moto2 World Championship in 2012. In 2013, at just 20 years of age, Márquez made his MotoGP debut and immediately captured the premier-class World Championship, becoming the first rookie since Kenny Roberts in 1978 to win the top-class title in his debut season.

At the time Winbox announced its partnership with Márquez in 2024, he had already secured eight World Championship titles: six in MotoGP, one in Moto2, and one in the 125cc category. In 2020, Márquez suffered a serious accident at the Spanish Grand Prix, sustaining a fracture to his right humerus. The injury required multiple surgeries and an extensive rehabilitation period. Despite facing one of the greatest challenges of his career, he successfully returned to MotoGP and gradually regained his position among the sport’s leading competitors. In 2024, Márquez returned to the top step of the MotoGP podium at the Aragon Grand Prix, ending a 1,043-day wait for a Grand Prix victory and once again demonstrating the resilience, determination, and championship pedigree that have defined his career.
